The manifesto

More time to build if you build it right.

01The phone was a tool. Then it became a place you live.

02Every app wants the next minute. Stacked up, they take the years.

03Being busy in the box is not the same as building.

04The fix isn't more apps. It's fewer, sharper ones — built to let you leave.

05A good tool does the job and gives the afternoon back.

06That returned time is the whole point. Spend it building something real.

Don't measure the day in screens opened.
Measure it in things built.

Questions

Straight answers.

What does "build it right" mean?

It means choosing tools that respect your time. Most apps are designed to keep you inside them. To Build only ships tools designed to get you out — to do the job and hand the time back. Build it right, and you get more time to build.

Is To Build anti-technology?

No. We love good software. We're against software that farms your attention. The screen should be a door you walk through, not a room you live in. To Build is the door.

Why partner with Unstuck?

Unstuck (unstuckgo.io) helps people name what's stuck and find their next move. To Build is the toolkit for the move — the apps that turn a decision into momentum. One names the way; the other walks it.

How do you decide what to add?

Every candidate faces one test: does it give people time back, or take it? If it takes, it doesn't ship — no matter how clever. That's why the portal stays small.
